Confirmed news today is that Josh has been unveiled as  a member of the 2008 Redcar Bears. 

The news that was widely expected became public knowledge as Josh turned out for the Press and Practice day at the South Tees Motorpark.

Josh will initially ride as #4.

1. GARY HAVELOCK
Average: 9.18
Ended last season on a high after being hit by injury and illness. The inspirational skipper is a class act and will once again show it.

2. TY PROCTOR
Average: 5.00 (assessed)
Aussie new boy in his first season over here. He’s asked fans not to expect instant miracles, but has invested in two of Leigh Adams’ 2007 bikes and is confident of at least matching his average.

3. JAMES GRIEVES
Average: 8.47
The 2007 Bear of the Year and deservedly so. Was rarely out of double figures last term and there’s no reason why he can’t do the same this year.

4. JOSH AUTY
Average: 6.11
Teenage sensation who burst onto the Premier League scene last year while doubling up with Scunthorpe in the Conference. Has a heat leader berth in his sights.

5. CHRIS KERR
Average: 5.56
Exciting and tenacious on the track, ended last year in fine form. Has learned and improved in the two years since he arrived as a complete unknown.

6. ARLO BUGEJA
Average: 3.00
Struggled to make an impact while filling in for Giffard last year. But he was thrown in at the deep end at No 2 - being at reserve and the PL experience he gained last year will have helped him.

7. DAN GIFFARD
Average: 3.47
One of the most experienced reserves in the league, he has the ambition and ability to make his spell at reserve a brief one.
